Why can't you do it in real life? I've learned that its okay to let out those negative emotions (in a controlled, non-violent way) so that they don't get all bottled up and cause physical and emotional problems in the long run.
I'm not saying that we should run around screaming at everything, but rather set aside a time and place to scream at the top of our lungs and maybe even punch a pillow or mattress.
You remember that I only cried when I could take no more and blew my top. Now I cry when I need to and I don't have to blow my top later. I've learned that the smaller doses are easier to handle.
